Someone just shared what is possibly the first mention of #bitcoin on a TV news network in June of 2011.

There was a short-lived Twitter bot called @paybitback (a precursor to @ChangeTip) that would create an on-chain tip jar for the recipient to claim.

It looks like most of these tips were never actually redeemed, and there are still addresses like this one with nearly a whole coin that will probably remain unspent forever.
